I'm looking for links to news artricles or industry forcasts. Are we in for a supply/demand shortage? Anyone heard anything. I thought I read a article on this type of forcast, but I can't find it now.

Obvious first answer.
First thing that steel shortage is going to do to everything that's made with steel is to raise the prices.

Lincoln has anounced that they will begin making shorter welding rods. 7018's and 6010's will now be only 6" long and placed in small cans.

The Technical Center, at which I work, purchases about 2000 pounds of assorted electrodes a semester. Our vendors say their quotes are only good for 30 days.
