These poor SOB's. How long do you think their eyes will last like this!?!? On the plus side, at least they get gloves!
Parent - - By ZCat (***) Date 07-20-2008 19:55
what the hell is he doing, looking thru the paper?
Parent - By pypLynr (***) Date 07-20-2008 20:50
Thats freakin' hilarious!!! And to think ... our country survives off of products manufactured in China!!  I'll be looking for that beautiful " made in USA" label. LOL! I bet that guy will be blind in 6-8 mos.

if he used the classifieds he could look for a different line of work for when his eyes are shot.

They are a throwaway 1 billion+ population society that manufactures throwaway products. What would you expect??

Throwaway people.

Communist labor. Hard to compete with a country that makes a product and doesn't even spend the money to provide the workers with the basic PPE necessities.

Well, he IS wearing glasses.

You said it! Like they really care...........

They would put their own women & children in a meat grinder if they thought it would turn a profit.

Notice that his glasses appear to be perscription glasses and you can bet they are not his perscription.

Bought out of a box FULL of glasses at some kind of Chinese flea market. LOL

In the end I just feel sorry for him, It would suck having to weld like that, I'm assuming he's welding with his eyes closed, no way you could stare at an arc with prescription glasses no less.

Saw an interesting tv show on the making of the new beijing olympic stadium. They welded to code though

Well I guess I should have titled this thread..."Dangerous Welding Practices" LOL

Here's a new one I found today. I think he's trying to weld a muffler on this old truck..
the jack doesn't look all the safe you know..

It seems to be a trend in China..found another one.

jrw159, those were pretty good..lol

I liked the forklifts the best. :-)

I'm currently welding overseas now..I've seen a lot of weird stuff here in Norway.
I will say they do try to protect us as much as possible..we have respirator's on
our hoods etc.

Cool, I am glad to hear they are taking care of you.

I have never yet had the opportunuty to work overseas, but that is what I always though of as my biggest concern. I would be on edge about my personal safety even if they do not care about thiers. As I always say, do not hit, burn or bury the guy in the orange or yellow safety vest and hard hat. LOL

Glad you enjoyed the pics, I have a few more. If I can locate them I will attach.

I am surprised he doesn't suffocate with that face shield on.
Parent - By snuffman (***) Date 07-21-2008 16:38
I was thinking the same thing. I don't see how some of the people in those pic's have lived as long as they have. Good stuff
Parent - By sbcmweb (****) Date 07-21-2008 17:49
