Parent - - By jrw159 (*****) Date 08-02-2008 19:36
Ahhhh. Carta Blanca, brings back memories of Chihuahua. Any beer that has a bottle cap remover on the bottom of every bottle is ACES in my book. You can open the new one with the one you just finished. :-)

damn we had to buy a bottle opener but the beer was 7.00 a case wow we got hammered that day
Parent - - By jrw159 (*****) Date 08-02-2008 20:02
How long ago was this, I was just informed that they stopped making the bottles the way I described. The bottles had a indentation in the bottom that would grip the cap of the next one.

I know what you mean, I got hammered one month down there as well. LOL Carta Blanca and Presidente. OUCH.
Parent - By raftergwelding (*****) Date 08-03-2008 06:29

Parent - - By thewelder (***) Date 08-03-2008 08:08 Edited 08-06-2008 00:52
Hey jrw159 the bottles was call "quitapon" or "esse opener", the Muqtezuma Co. the maker of carta blanca beer steal made the bottle but for sale only on the south part of Mexico. I loved that beer.
Parent - By jrw159 (*****) Date 08-03-2008 13:02
Yeah, I was in Tomosichi, and Quantemoc area when I first found them. I still have a couple of the old bottles somewhere. Thanks for the background info on this subjuect. :-)

yes it is very clean has some minor scratches in the primer but they will sand blast it to chrome it anyway so no worries
Parent - - By raftergwelding (*****) Date 08-11-2008 03:37
how good are those engines
Parent - By uphill (***) Date 08-11-2008 11:16
One is out of a sweeper with 1600 or so hours with good even compression within 5 pounds wet/dry, set-up for oil cooler, spin on oil filter, down exhaust and downdraft carb. It has a dist. 1980s vintage. Could rip the manifolds off and save a little on shipping weight. Other is same vintage but is for parts only+stuck. Was running but got neglected. Both 163's $500 good one $150 parts one. $600 both Located by Minneapolis Minn.
