i ran the numbers on this machine and it is a 65 redface i was told it needed shunts i had the shunts and field coils check they are all good i got a starter and carb off another machine put on this morning it does turn over i'll no more this evening it turns over so i know it'll run just want to hear it so i can get the self satifaction of hearing it once i hear it run i will get a starter and a carb for it and it'll be for sale like it sits it runs fellas it runs but it dont weld yet hopefully tomorow it'll weld i think it's in the dc plug on the front of the machine it is still twist lock i'll try an find a regular 1 tomorow i got a new plug put in in and figured out why you didnt weld the main brushes were stuck it runs and welds fine now 120v @ the plug and 92 at the studs at high idle

i said i was told it ran i'll find out tomorow if it does i am not willing to part it out at this time i do have other machines that are for parts what do you need.

i said in the original post it needs a carb i got a carb with it but it is junk i have a 70 here at the house that will inner change parts i'm gonna swap starter and carb to see if it runs i was told it did

i had the shunts and field coils check they are good this mean it will weld once i get it the carb and starter on it it will runwith the shunts and fields being good the price will go up once i get an arc struck with it i tried to move it quick and save someone some money but no 1 bit on it so i was forced to do some work to it i'll post more later

no thanks had it checked today and the shunts and field coils are good all i need is to check compression and run the valve rack and it'll be just as good as new if all goes well the armiture alone is worth 1,000 the exciter used will go for 250 and the body panels are all in good shape except for them nasty racks on the front but with a torch and tiger wheel you'll never know they were there

just get an 1 1/2'' nipple and thread it piece of cake i use stainless on mine

Try Lektrotech out of Greenville. A bit of a drive for you I guess but they've always been good to me and they're very knowledgeable.

billy in kigore welders supply bill good guy kind of ruff but knows his stuff hes on the little loop where 42 and 135 meet in kilgore on the right i would go by

haha very funny no i still have it getin some odds and ends done on it sum1 should of bought it when it was 1,000 now it runs and welds i ben tryin to get 1 of my 67's goin todayit has a weak spark i'm goin to my moms place and get the other 67 and see if i cant jump it off lead to lead i had to do it once before prolly jus moisture in the mag i took the caps off the mag and they were dirty so was the rotor and the points i'll need to get my point file while i'm there it sucks not having enuff room to keep all my stuff close by if i dont get if fired i'll have a 67 for sale lol

i looked at that block heater today and it loked like junk to me i'll plug it in and see what it does but i dont need it so either way it's commin off
