In just a few weeks, probably by mid-September - this new program from Hobart Institute will be available:

August 26, 2008 - Troy, OH - It is time to update your blueprint curriculum!  The Training Materials Department at the Hobart Institute has just released a totally revised edition of the complete courseware for Blueprint Reading for Welders and Fitters.  This popular program is an essential part of any basic welding curriculum in the vocational, university, or industrial setting. 

Views shot by industry professionals in the Hobart Institute's state-of-the-art studio, the topics include an introduction to blueprint reading, review of mathematics, metric system and conversions, a review of welding symbols, orthographic views, standard drawing lines and symbols, interpreting blueprint information, surface and centerline relationships, auxiliary views, scale drawings, dimensional tolerance and stock allowance, set-up tools and applications.

In keeping with the Hobart Institute tradition, the complete course includes an Instructor's Guide and two DVD's.  Instructors may purchase student workbooks and tests for their students to complete the curriculum.  This curriculum package is recommended for American Welding Society (AWS) Entry-Level SENSE (QC10 and EG2.0) programs.
