does lincoln still sell OEM face plates for there machines, i've found some after market plates but none for a classic 1 could somebody steer me in the right direction please?
Have you looked on Ksellon's web site www.billswelderrepair.com? They have several different face plates. Also Stumpfs welding sales alot of different types. If you go to K's site it will have the info for Stumpfs on it.
I got one from the decal shop thought the Quality left something to be desired writing was slanted and faded to blurry Was for 64 red label Afreind got 2 for his 80's modelds one was good and one was fuzzy
I had Leftcoast Enterprises (Decal Shoppe) make some decals for me a couple years ago. I sent them pics of old Miller Decals & they repopped them for me. They were made so poorly, I couldn't even separate them from the sheeting they were on without ripping them off the adhesive backing. I had to send them back & have them transferred to different backing. The work was shoddy, almost all of the decals were off center & poor quality of detail. They started selling repops of the exact same decals I had them make for me at 2/3 less the price I paid for them. AND, they used MY pics to make them!!
I Never really got any apology from them. I had to send them back at my own expense as well :-(
Needless to say, I would NEVER do any business with them again & would not recommend them either.
Yeah. I never like to say negative things about a company, but this was all around BAD. They charged me something like $250 for the decals too.
I had a shop here do the exact same decals for $2.00 a piece & they turned out perfect. Less than half what Leftcoast charged me per decal & theirs were crap. I was torqued to see them put the repos on ebay & offer them for less than half of what they charged me for them.
ask ksellon about the decal shoppe... she says that the faceplates will fade really bad in the first 2 months. she has the real deal and a ((((((princess))))))) to deal with
No, I don't think you did at all. :-) I was going to say something awhile back about them, but I just don't like giving a bad rap to someone. But, they handed me my rear on them & I was very disappointed with something I paid real good money for. I just want to warn anyone out there considering buying custom decals from them.
I have an excellent place here in town. Lansing One Hour Discount Signs.
They have been stellar to me & popped some real cool stuff, including some faceplates with a lot of detail involved. they have always been very fair & reasonable with me. S.W.
