Hi guys I guess this is a begginer question but whats the difference in these two also I have a 1972 lincoln sae 300 what one would that be??? thanks for any input..

it is a constant current machine

You can add what Lincoln calls a "wire feed module" and then have either CC or CV output from that machine. A lot of those have already had one installed.

Short answer is:
CC is commonly used for stick and tig welding.
CV is commonly used for wire proccess' like mig, flux core, dual shield.
