Looking for the company that is doing the pumping stations in Nebraska. One company just started the dirt work. Been trying to talk to them but never at the yard when I get off work. Maybe someone on here can help. Any info would be great. Would like to get back on my truck, this singlehand work sucks.

Being a single hand ain't that bad, if your gig is good. Its the gig - not the work, my man. I'm headed to the Bahamas after the first of the year as a single hand. $3500 and change / wk. + my own condo + all travel and food . I would say not bad for a  single hand gig. LOL

What kind of hours are you going to be working on that gig?  Sounds like the gig of all gigs to me. ;-)  Welding by day, Bahama Mama's by nite. lol

Sounds great till you take in the cost of beer and liveing the Bahamas are a rich mans play ground $5.00 to $6.00 US for a bottle of beer.

$3500/wk.  $5 per beer.  That's 700 beers.  Sounds good to me.  Where can I sign up its getting aweful cold.

Like others mentioned, in the Bahamas BEER is expensive, but hard liquer is not bad. Junk food is really expensive too, but the Govt. controlls the price of staple food items, so You can eat without breaking the bank if You like peas & rice, mac & chese or coleslaw. Meat is expensive, take a pole spear and a mask, snorkel & fins.

Everything is furnished... food, condo, transportation, plus $3500 /wk + your family can come over and stay with you in your own condo. The company is handling all the visas and providing the passports . The transportation includes all flights from your home to the job and back.

I will second Vagabonds statement. If they need inspectors, let us know. I will put in two weeks notice for that. LOL
