BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Reminds me of setting M80 in the welding area. NOT RECOMMENDED for safe practice, but funny as hell. We used to tape them up on the backside of groove welds that had been tacked up. The structure would move to the next station for final weld and SUPRISE. It sure would wake everyone up with a quickness. LOL

We use that on new guys when were welding outside in either extreme cold or wet and tell them its the heat sending stress cracks down the pipe and that they need to ease up on the heat input.  Funny as hell if there in mid weld and you toss it inside the pipe close to them.  Oh yeah saftey personell don't approve.

EDIT: The ones we used were actually M60's that one can purchase at any fireworks distributer, at least in the great state of TEXAS. :-)

jrw...I have a new found respect for you.  That pyro website is..."banging"....LOL.  I have been making BP for a couple years now and never knew of it's exsitence...thanks for that.  I am sure my wife will be happy to know that it's not just me trying to blow up their garage.

  Why thank you. I have been a pyro since a very young age. This combined with my love for an adrinaline rush of any kind has made for some interesting times in my past, which I will not go into too much detail about because I may incriminate myself. LOL

And tell your wife to rest easy, it is not just you. :-)

I like that wikipedia site, says "here is the make up of the military version, do not make at home". Yeah, ok cause we would never do anything like that. Here you give the recipe and.....just to funny!! Just like finding the recipe for thermite, you can see how many people don't make that on youtube!

thye m-80's i remember my dad brought us from mexico hwne he would cross the border to get fuel in his big truck they were about the size if a 1/4 stick of dynamite and would blow a 6in wide by 4in deep hole in the ground we use to bury them in red ant fire mounds and blow the hell out of them kids having fun we had a blast with those things oh and the myth of a commode comming off the flor if you flush 1 of them bad boys down it's true lol shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh mom still dont know

I know for a fact that the toilet deal is true. Two years ago my son and his cousin blew up a toilet with the newer watered down version of these. Damn kids!!! LOL It did not blow the toilet to smithereans but it did blow a hole in it and knocked it loose from the anchor bolt. What a mess!!!

In jr high school I had a teacher that made the mistake of telling me that pure magnesium reacts violently in water, then showed us a sample of magnesium. It just so happened that I was the T.A. and had access to said item.
