I have a job welding Schedule 40 316 stainless steel pipe using tig welded flux coated filler wire. I've read about the amperage ranges and penetration characteristics but I can't find anything about technique. We've had 40 welders try the process but the failure rate of the welds has us down to two welders who have been able to consistently get their welds through X-ray.
Surely there is someone proficient that can provide me with information so I can get more welders to be successful at this process.
