Have not but have done a lot of reading, studying and question asking of those that have to educate myself.

Yes,

ME...which is why I consider myself one of the luckiest people alive: to become a citizen of The UNITED STATES of AMERICA and one of the proudest Patriots you will ever meet!!!
And to those in this forum that say they want to go to Australia or where ever because of some B.S. over taxes or what ever their gripe of the day may be... Please, denounce your US citizenship, go immigrate to your shangrila (ie. get your ungratefull self out of here since it's ssoooo badddd!) and then afterwards tell me about how good it is over there.
Just remember, you will probably be living under the blanket of protection and security provided by my tax dollars.

Just my $2 million bucks worth...which is what I've made and spent in the USA for the past 35 years, put 2 children through college, live the American Dream (life, liberty, persuit of happiness) and paid a bucket load of TAXES.

Pretty good return on my investment and not too shabby for a poor immigrant without a college degree if you ask me.
btw, I can talk and rite gooder english than many of my fellow posters here!

The Joint Tax Committee staffer (not an Administration employee - he's a non-political Congressional staffer) is unable to provide job creation estimates for the proposed TAX CUT and TAX CREDIT bill that is part of the overall proposed stimulus program. He is not being questioned on the appropriations bill that is the subject of this topic. Appropriations is handled in the Appropriations Committee, while the tax cuts are being handled in the Ways and Means Committee where the video is from. Many economists are skeptical about the ability of additional tax cuts to create jobs (been there, done that), so the tax staffer's response is not shocking. This is complicated, obviously, but it's important not to misunderstand what you are looking at.

I was not paying super close attention but that made my jaw drop and I thought, if that is so I guess $800 million ain't so bad!! I may have misunderstood but I could swear they said $4 trillion........WoW!!!

You heard right. Massive unemployment in China due to the slowdown, so with the manufacturing jobs gone, they are going to try to modernize the country's infrastructure, transportation, energy, etc. Look for this to kick up the price of steel again.
