I've always used Tillman or Black stallion welding gloves. At the current place I work gloves are provided free of charge if requested and they stock Black stallion gloves
http://www.revcoindustries.com/catalog/tig-welding-gloves-c-75_227.html That's what I use for Tig and light duty MIG, I like the feel and dexterity of the uninsulated gloves. I also use some mig gloves.
I find the wear is pretty good and they are cheap enough that i don't mind going through a pair of $7 gloves every 2-3 months.
On high amperage welds I use thicker MIG gloves or Stick gloves, but now that I'm in the sheet metal fab world that's pretty rare. Oh and I'm an engineer now so It seems I never run more than a bead or two while setting up machines.
