I am new to the weld Engineering profession. I have recently had these duties given to me and have a few questions. What series of tests ( least amount ) can be given to cover both fillet and grove welds from .017" upto .250" thick material on both sheet and tube ( materials of Inco, Hast X, Stainless, ect). This is for the Aerospace industry using SPEC D.17 for qualification . I seem to remember doing a 6G and a 5F test welds but I am not sure of the correct thicknesses to cover my needs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
