I work in Little Rock, AR and the other day behind our shop I saw a ton of 30" pipe on train cars.  Being the curious gasman, I walked over and looked at the print on the coating.  I think it said it was for a Trans-Canada pipeline.  70 something feet joints, .328 wall.  Any body know about this project?  Looks like a lot of welding.

I was reading the pipleline and gas journal today ,,,and it said it was proposed and  in negotiations. also says it is 1980-mile 36 inch crude oil pipeline....from canada all the way to Nederland, Texas then on to Houston. transcanada and conocophillips would own and operate.....its expected to begin service in 2012.
every one cross your fingers...

Let's see, 30" in AR. If it was still on the cars then it was headed to OK, KS, MO, or IL...maybe SD or NE. It's a 30" crude line comin in from Canada runnin down to Cushing, OK. Sposed to be startin sometime this year but won't find out when till after the steward school for 798 is done with.
