Anybody want to rent the Welding Inspection Tehnology Workbook? Taking CWI at the end of July and was told that would be a great help for the fundamental part.

Who's the publisher of that book? I don't have it, so I can't loan you one, but I'm interested in buying it.

Thankyou again, Byron. 72,00 US dollars isn't expensive compared to other American publications (books, standards etc.)

Yeah, you keep the books after the seminar.  I took mine in February.  I found the CM: 2000 to be more helpful but that's just my opinion.

Good luck on the test and better luck on finding a job.  If you find one, find one for me too.  Preferably in Hawai'i, Florida or South America.  :-)

Thanks for the info. Also heard from someone else that the CM:2000 was helpful.
Do you know which books exactly, that you can keep?
You can message me or whatever. and I can give you my #

If you're taking the D1.1 for Part C, you get the code book.  If you take API 1104 you must provide it.
The others are as follows, if you are taking the entire week long seminar:

QC1:2007 Stardard for AWS Certification of Welding Inspectors
B5.1:2003 Specification for the Qualification of Welding Inspectors
WIT-M 2008 Welding Inpsection Technology
WIT-W 2008 Welding Inspection Technology Workbook
WIT-E Practice Exam for CWI Fundamentals (Part A)
A3.0:2001 Standard Welding Terms and Fundamentals
A2.4:2007 Standars Welding Symbols, etc.
B1.0:1999 Guide for the Nondestructive Examination of Welds
VIW-M:2008 Visual Inspection Workshop Reference Manual
A hard case with fillet gauges, machinist rule, calipers, micrometer, etc.

And either D1.1 CCRM:2008 Code Clinic Reference Manual or API Code Clinic Reference Manual

All in all there's a lot of material for the cost.  I just wish I could have gotten them in advance.  Now I have 2 copies of several of the books.

Thanks, that helps a lot.
There are some I was looking at purchasing. If you would like to sell some I would gladly buy from you.
I'm taking the D1.1

I took the D1.1 test last year, and studied the CM:2000. For me, the CM:2000 was a great book to study. The WIT book and CM book cover alot of the same overall material. But if you take the seminar, the WIT book will be handed out to you to keep. So why pay for two copies of the same book. To this day, I still browse through the CM from time to time, just as a refresher.
