I checked with a industrial machine shop about the sheetmetal for mine and they told me about $70 to do the hood I supply the metal. I've had them break 3/16" plate for me before so I had an idea they might be able to do this. I'd check the phone book and just start calling around. The guys I talked to said they could use the original hood as a template.

what is "a little work"? If it is a stock 56 shorty (no upgrades or updates) but runs and welds $600-1000.
Sheet metal for shorty 405-619-9988 ask for Robert or Jeff. They do all the metal I can't get from Lincoln.

Hi Kaye! This link to eBay, by any chance is this Robert or Jeff? I’ am just about ready to order a set of doors for my short hood. Ron Reich was telling me he gets his doors from this guy in Oklahoma City. Just looking for the best people to deal with!
Thanks!

I’ve had 5 or 6 e-mails back and forth with Jeff. Seems like a very nice guy! Answered all my questions about doors for my SA-200. He is going to build me a set.
