Hello John, it sure doesn't seem too concerned with your picture taking. Cute little bugger. Regards, Allan
Tasty, tasty cute little bugger....
Much nicer than a gator setting under your car at a marina.
When they are young and have not been shot at, they can be curious about humans.
I was out for a walk in the woods with a girlfriend once, and a fawn came right up to me. I held out my open hand, and it put its nose right in my palm. She took a picture. There was a doe and a big buck that got pretty upset about it though, and we got out of there before we got charged.
Funny how being shot at makes any creature nervous.
Not nearly as much as being shot at and missed
John,
That's pretty cool. Not something one gets to see every day. :-)

Pass out some cigarettes and you'll make deer friends in a hurry. Was in Penn once and a guy showed this to me. They eat those things like candy.
So You are the guys that got all Our deer hooked on cigarettes :-)

Update:....called the animal rescue folks and they came out to pick him up. He is dehydrating and not eating, so he is going downhill quickly in this heat. I guess it's momma got killed or left him or something. It is so young that I guess it still need it's momma's milk. They said it will be fine and they will take care of it...they'll make a pot of chili or let the hunting dogs have some fun...nah, I guess they will nurse it back to health and turn him loose somewhere.
Yeah, you can sure see the difference in just a day. Poor little bugger.

You're a good man John Wright.
JohnJohn, if Obama got the stink eye from PETA for killing a fly, you may be getting a visit from them soon :)
You know after that first deer got hooked on cigarettes, he got his buddies hooked as well so he could bum off of them.
I can't resist!
AAAWW. Poor Deer!
good on you john, karma is infallible.

Found his momma, at least we think is was her....there is a dead deer carcass lying by the side of the highway a few hundred yards up the road from our shop.
I don't think there's enough meat on that critter to make a pot of chilli. Maybe this fall. :-)

Kay,
We ended up calling the animal rescue folks...they came and picked him up and said that they would take good care of him. He should be doing OK now that they have him and can get some food and water in him.

Thank you John..
Find out where he is and I'll send a carton of Camels!
Just brought the family back from Possum Kingdom where we went through 100 lbs of deer corn in two days. Kids loved hand feeding the deer outside our cabin. Mom pretty much ruined Jr's deer hunting future right there. Good job looking out for the little fellow.
