That's a true story,I live just outside of Kingston.that dude is a folk hero around these parts.
Thnaks for that post, Henry.
No and even tho it is an old story it is one that should be repeated till a change comes about. I too am not ashamed and Pray that others see the light before it is too late.
Thank you Henry God Bless
When I was in high school, the athletic teams always had prayer before events. It was voluntary, but we had 100% participation. The whole school thumbed their nose at the Supreme Court.
We had a Catholic principal. They allowed the creation debate to exist right beside the evolution debate in biology classes.
At graduation a Catholic priest led us in prayer.
They had corporal punishment too. Discipline problems were extremely rare!
This was a country school in a town with 5000 people. I tell folks it is/was the only public parochial school in S/W Michigan. (LOL) This was well after Madeline Murray O’Hara too.
As Ringo stated, he's something of a local legend. I Live 45 miles south of there. I can verify it's truth.
JESUS said, "If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER.."
Nope, I am not afraid or ashamed to declare Jesus as my personal saviour before God and Men.
I believe that is one law that should be broken. I have that verse at my desk on a government site. Should I be fired for it, so be it.
Those words of Jesus also apply to many other things as well. Including associations, friendships, and public opinion.
In this day and age it takes courage to stand with the ones called friends, especially when some attack that friend. Gone are the days
of riding the fence and getting away with it.
We've not always seen eye to eye, but you have never been a coward in speaking your opinion and sticking to it. That my friend is something
to be respected by all in the day and age of mealy mouthed PC liberals who float with the driftwood when it's politically correct to do so.
If for no other reason than that, you would have my respect and friendship.
Regards,
Gerald
