On AWS' web page ( http://aws.org ) there are links to find out their schedules for these courses. I hope you can find where they offer a course near your location so you won't have to travel too far.

I HAVE TRIED TO FIND SOME LOCATION, BUT PROBABLY THIS TEST IS NOT ADMINISTERED OUTSIDE USA.
CAN ANYBODY GIVE SOME GUIDELINE.
ALTERNATIVELY WHERE CAN I TAKE THE TEST FOR IWE OR EWE IN SOUTH EAST ASIA ?

Forgive the long delay in responding but AWS has had problems with its email system.

The AWS has a very good agency in Madras, India that regularly provides the CWI course and test with excellent results.

Please contact Industrial Quality Concepts at 44-2499-3826 for registration, application and fee information.

CWE is not being conducted internationally as of the moment. EWE is conducted only in Abington, UK. IWE can be conducted by IAB but I am not sure who is the IAB in India for IIW....Need to check that out. At the moment though, giving EWE/CWE/IWE in India is not possible and neither is it in SE Asia.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the fees for the Certified Welding Engineer test.

The Certified Welding Engineer test is not being offered internationally at this time.
No fee strucure has been agreed upon as the the second part of the examination is being revised.

We hope you mean CWI(Certified Welding Inspector) program of AWS and we attach the details of our programs in 2003.As per AWS CWE means certifie Welding Educator.The exam for this consists of two parts of the three parts CWI exam(except the open code book).However for this the candidates should have documentary proof of Welder Qualification and welding teaching experience.For more details you can refer AWS publication QC 1-96 which can be downloaded from AWS site www.aws.org Regards, S.Baskaran.
