70+ bead

Centerpoint is setting standards for 70+ bead on x-70 and every welder has to retest for this procedure. Test is 2" on 45, 12" std wall on 45, and 12" 500 wall on 45. Any advise on keeping the undercut down? About 15percent of the welders that have taken it have passed. Three of us go thursday to retest.

not as tight as usual pipeline cause your not smokin it in, but not a big fab gap.works for me you know what I'm saying?

where u re testing at blackie in shreport or fort smith i gotta buddy working with center point named paul raburn he just re tested the othe day hes down in la somewhere he said no trouble at all the trick is to keep ur eyes closed . just jokeing good luck

I took test friday and had no problem. 12" 500 wall run 5/32 70+ bead and the 12" 250wall is 1/8 70+ bead and the 2" is 7010 hyp bead out

Hey tyler1970. There is alot of work around the mansfield and coushata area. Alot of contractors in there doing work.

yeah. my buddy is a diesel mechanic and he went to monrioe this past week. he passed by a yard that he claimed had 60-70 rigs sittin out. but he said it was like a ghost town, didnt see anyone. around 10 o'clock. you know anything about this?
