Pipeline work

Hi all,
i am interested in cross-country pipe welding. i am still in my first year of welding (going to get an ATA) but i want to get some info early so i know what im looking at. Tips, Tricks, Certs, and just any genneral info would be great. I live in WA, so i was thinking Alaska, but when i grad. any weld job will do to start.

welcome to the forum! theres a lot of great info on this site, and you will probably become addicted to it like the rest of us. as far as tips and tricks when you get that first job and you get a chance to weld beside an "old timer" do it, if you ask they will teach you a ton. GOOD LUCK!!

I would suggest doing a keyword search. I expect you will find much of what you are looking for already in here. Perhaps just not in a condensed form.
