I use Anchor 20-GC.

Only welding glove I am aware of that is still Made in the USA.

OK, scratch that.  I just saw a new pair of Anchor gloves today a guy brought in to the shop.  I noticed the traditional "Made in USA" stamp was absent from the gaunlets.

I looked inside.... bigger than hell those rats at Anchor are now in China.

... off I go to give them a piece of my mind... and after years of my business they won't have to worry about selling me another set of gloves.

I honestly fail to see any reason to feel optimistic about the economic future or our country.

PS - I can't find them on the net to contact them... anyone know what town and state they are headquartered in?

I like Tillman Black Onyx gloves, they are high quality - last a long time, dont get "stiff" on you. They are a bit pricey though. I also like their TIG gloves, and own their MIG gloves....

Welding!!! Finished school, got 7 welding certs, got hired on permaneant at Alstom (same place I was working)... And a few things in my personal life changed. (For the better)

But I'm rocking right on along, making money, and burning metal steady as all get out! Thank the Lord, I still get 40+ hours a week, great pay, and mega bennies.

My computer access has been limited... That's all.

HUGS to all you guys!!!
Jenn

I've been using something, well not sure what brand but they say Steersoft on the back. They have a bit of padding in the back of the hand and on the fingers and are in the $16-20 range. They fit well as I like a glove that fit's tight on my right hand. Bought a pair of Tillman black onyx in a large that are to big and don't even use them, they seem like great gloves but I hate pulling them up and how loose they fit. My left glove is something cheap as I tend to burn up the pinky finger within a matter of days and since you can buy the left glove alone that works for me. The right handed glove seems to last quite awhile so I have a ton of burnt up lefties and laying around with a bunch of new righties waiting to be used. I tried on a pair of Tillman 750's and they are some nice gloves. When I get done burning up my current stock I'll likely give those a try.

I been useing Deerskin gloves from Northern Tool, Keystone thumb. Your not going to pick up anything really hot but I like them because I can wear them for doing other work as well. Good universal glove, buy by the case.

Tilman 875s or whatever they are the black onyx gloves best ive used if you are just straight welding. They dont burn up and get stiff

Tillmans are junk.....Ive had good luck with kunz #500s. They are a little higher but last twice as long.

From where I don't see a 500 on their site ?  Just lineman's gloves.

I couldnt find them on the kuntz site either but your Airgas or Praxair can get them. I have the Praxair here in Midland stock them for me.
