I recently went take a weld test for the contractor of Acadian Contractors in Grand Cane Louisiana. Well I get my results back and they told me I failed upon Hi-Lo. Now I didn't undertsand how I busted on hi-lo. By the way it was a 2in. When I took a little mirror and looked in the inside My bead was in and all was tie ins were good. I wanted to know how to get busted on hi-lo. I called the guy who was in charge of the job, and who the office toldme to call. I asked him to explain what it was. They told me it was a little crooked.
Okay a 2in diam pipe sch 80 and each coupon was about 3 1/2 -4 in long. Now I personally didnt think it had a bad dog leg. I know it didnt. Yeah it drew a little bit when I was done welding it. But how something that small and that short doesnt. It was bead hot down hill fill and cap 7018.
