If this is WPS is going to be written to D1.1, GMAW and MCAW are considered the same process. They lump solid wire and metal core wire together as the same process.

solid carbon steel electrodes and rods, composite stranded carbon steel electrodes, and composite
metal cored carbon steel electrodes for gas shielded arc welding.
The part that makes your WPS need qualifying is the pulsed power supply. Pulsing is considered short circuit mode, which is not prequalified(given the info supplied thus far). Gas mixtures that don't allow the solid wire to get into a spray mode are something else that can keep you from using a prequalified WPS, but you didn't mention anything about that.
