http://www.fireandreamitchell.com/2010/02/10/more-snow-record-cold-global-warming-to-msnbc-left-wing-nut-job-warmers/

Sooo, global warming is causing this massive snow storms we are enduring. OK, so if it's hot, it's because of global warming and if it's extremely cold and snowy it's because of global warming. Al Gore said that the debate is over so I guess we just have to accept this science and wait till they pass the HUGE Cap and Trade bill this year to combat global warming, uh climate change, uh climate justice or whatever they are naming it this month.

They agree.

Now I'm really confused. Time Mag.said that global warming will cause more intense storms (snow)but not hurricanes, but they said after Katrina that we better get use to Cat 5 storms because of global warming that will be the norm but since Katrina we have hardly had a major hurricane.

I'm beginning to think that all they want is to control us through scare tactics and extort more taxes from us.

Its really simple. Global warming causes record snowfalls, but only every 15 years. The years in between naturally get a whole lot less snow than "normal". Any liberal with a political science degree knows that.

A repoert I read said that WE are coming out of a 10-15 year pattern of lesser storm intensity and beginning a similar length pattern of greater storm intensity. No mention of "climate change" in this article, just observations of changing weather patterns.

Well Al Gore has always been full of crap so what else is new there ?  El Nino and El Nina are products of Mother Nature that no one has control over or is a expert on and even the best weather scientists get proven wrong daily.

Last time we had this much snow in Texas was winter of 1998-99 last major El Nino event.  We missed the snow today in the panhandle but Dallas area got 9" that I'm sure they are just thrilled about. :)

I am going to repost something I posted last January as it seems fitting. These weather patterns have been going since the continents first rested in or around their current locations:

Regardless of the cause, the "last" time the earth warmed up to much was just prior to the last ice age.
Yes I said last time. When you get through all the BS, and look at the hard scientific data rather than some pet theory propagated by global alarmist, the facts are clear. Ice ages are caused by a lead up period of global warming.
Have a look at the latitude of the Continental U.S. Vs. Europe.
What "real" science tells us is that the ocean currents operate like a conveyor belt.
While it's shaped by the Coriolis effect of the Earth's rotation, it's primary engine is the thermal differentials and salinity differences. As the currents take warm equatorial water north, the warmer water evaporates, warming the eastern U.S. and Europe. This leaves colder saltier water I.E. Denser water which sinks to the ocean floor, pushing the less dense lower saline water out of the way forming a subsea whirlpool a few hundred clicks south of Greenland.

This cascading body of dense cold water forms a river under the Atlantic approximately 39 times the combined size all land rivers combined. This undersea river flows down to the tip of Africa and around to the Pacific. Due to it's inherent cold and density, it rarely surfaces but once every thousand years or so but when it does, the local area around it has some serious previously anomalous weather. Eventually it creates thermals known as el nino and el nina. Which btw, is part of the real reason rainfall has been in such sparse supply on the west coast U.S.

This constant outflowing of water via the sub Atlantic river is why the Atlantic sea level is lower than that of the Pacific. This low level creates a surface draw of less saline warmer fresher water (less dense) from the Pacific into the Atlantic, and the cycle starts all over again.

This is the real tragedy with the Copenhagen Global Warming/Cooling data that was tampered with and otherwise adulterated, as was several other data models from organizations such as NASA and NOAA. (as evidenced by those hacked emails, and any old farmers almanac. Yes that right, the only way to get the true data is to find it in old print. At least 20 years old before the global warming alarmist began tampering with it to justify their ends)

The original data projected a strong potential for a collapse of the great conveyor belt henceforth described. Rather than run with the truth which was bad enough, they chose to tamper with it, and lie because, in my opinion, they thought the average person was to stupid to comprehend the difference.

In their arrogance, they are doing their level best to cool the earth, which will back fire if geological cores in Greenland, Iceland, Canada, and the other myriad of cores held any truth to method.

When that conveyor belt of warmth stops, Most of North America, and Western Central Europe will find themselves in the onset of an Ice age.
Those same cores held incontrovertible that the ice didn't start happening over the course of hundreds of years, it happened in less than a Decade.
Thats 10 years.

At the same time severe droughts and fire storms ravaged North Africa. Another part of the global alarmist tampering with the evidence. That little factoid is often left out their 'studies' because it doesn't fit the model 'they think' should be accurate.

Global warming is in fact a problem, but it's a problem sorely mis-addressed and misunderstood. It's only the arrogance of man that makes them think they can change the earth in such a manner. It's been self correcting off and on for eons. Homosapiens are not going to change that ever.

Al Gore and his cronies have lost all credibility. Hand picking data to fit your agenda, falsifying documents, and using junk science and exaggerations to try to prove something, is not going to win over the trust of anyone who puts on their thinking cap. Any fence riders on this topic should have fallen off years ago when Al's bank account started growing leaps and bounds...just follow the money and it will lead you to the truth most of the time. There is money to be made and lots of power to be gobbled up if he can persuade people to make laws governing this, to believe him.

The very recent rains in the west coast are another sign that the cycle has changed.
Ask yourself what happens when that thermohaline current is disrupted by an increase in fresh water from melting ice caps.

This has happened time and again over the eons, and will continue to do so with or without man.
It's just how it is.

Finding out that Famous Al was one of the leaders of ignoring Bin Laden long ago pretty much tell you what he is about ?

A couple of months ago, I watched a show on the "National Geographic" channel that reflected the same interactions you mention in your post.

Very interesting.

40 50 years ago science said we were headin 4 an ice age.

40 years ago they didn't have the detailed knowledge of the currents they have today. I've read those original reports, and they did not take into account the thermohaline currents, that knowledge wasn't pinned down until the early 80's. Restructuring the model with that taken into account pretty much pins down the ice cores. Model after model run the same, or at least they did until the current bunch of idiots started tinkering with the numbers.
