like I said before I am new to this forum and also pipeline. My question is how ful to cap a branch test? I have failed twice due to excessive cap and not enough cap. can anyone give me some pointers

most of the time is a 2 bead cap on the branches i have taken

45 degree in the throat and flat at the side. Some require a 2 pass cap others 3. If you are capping with 3's a two pass should be good. Using 5's a three pass would work better.

Give him a two pass with 3's

Bigkuhuna is right. Two bead cap with three's all the way. And the less you ask the inspector the better.
