I am looking for a ac hi freq tig welder. Can't afford new syncrowave or dynasty. What are some suggestions for older machines that still perform well.

Miller 330 A/BP, I see them on Craig’s list for around $500.00 + - all the time.

I left out that I will only have single phase power.

They are single phase, with well over 400-amps.

You mean like this one? If so, it’s been years since I’ve run one but I remember them as being great also. FYI these are all power hogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just like that one. How do these machines stick weld? Mostly 7018.

Not near the quality arc of a SA-200 but pretty good. My 330 A/BP is just a touch better with 7018 than my Dynasty 300. But nowhere near the welder on aluminum as the Dynasty!

Hear is an overhead 7018 weld with the 1980’s 330 A/BP.

Good enough

They give as good a DC output as You are going to get from a single phase machine.
