It’s a simple Question
When Did it Become a RECOMMENDED PRACTICE?

Although It may be OK, or may not.
READ.....

The “Slaughter solution” goes something like this: the president would have to sign into law the Senate version of the bill, the House would vote on “fixes” to the bill and if these “fixes” passed the House, it would “deem” the Senate bill passed, the Senate would then have to reconcile the House “fixes” and incorporate them in the final bill, all based on a promise that they would do so. This would allow the House Democrats who are in tough re-election campaigns to claim that they never voted for the unpopular Senate bill and provide them cover in case the Senate did not pass their “fixes,” allowing the Senate bill to be the final version of the bill.

According to Nancy Pelosi, this is an attractive option because it will protect House members politically who are unwilling to support the bill publically, claiming that it is “ more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know.” In other words, if they pass the bill she is hoping that people aren’t paying attention to HOW they passed it, they just will know that the bill passed. She is hoping that people are not paying attention to their actions. She continues by saying she also likes this option, “because people don’t have to vote on the Senate bill.”

That should tell us all that we need to know not only about the Senate bill’s popularity and flaws, but also about the mindset of the house leadership. She knows that this bill is unpopular, she knows that the American people are opposed to the bill, yet she is willing to stoop to this level to pass it. And she thinks that the American people are so stupid that once the bill passes and is law that we will not realize that by not voting directly for or against this bill that they actually voted for it. I can’t even begin to describe how obnoxious and arrogant I find the Speaker’s position on this issue and her disdain for the intelligence of the American people.

Since it has become public knowledge about this nefarious plot to pass healthcare reform without voting on it, the question has been raised about whether this is constitutional or not. On the surface it would seem that there is no way that this can be constitutional. This question is based on Article 1, Section 7 of the constitution, which states that the “Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays.” But that language follows the language that describes the process for overriding a presidential veto, does this apply to legislation that is sent to the president in the first place, or just to legislation that has already been vetoed by the president? I am not sure. And then there is Article 1, Section 5 of the constitution which states that “Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings.”

It is based on this section that I have never questioned the constitutionality of using reconciliation to pass healthcare reform, even though I disagree with the notion. If the houses have the means to determine their own rules, the Senate must have the right to determine how many votes it takes to pass legislation. Does this not give the House the right to pass a bill without voting on it?

So while the constitutionality of this maneuver is up in the air– it may or may not be constitutional– there is one thing that we know for sure; this is an unscrupulous, insidious, un-American frontal assault on what a representative republic is supposed to stand for and the American people should not stand for it.

Now, I am by NO means a birther. I don't like the powers that put him in place. I don't like the fact the most of society was stupid enough to be blind to what he actually represents and stands for. Which I believe to is: a dismanteling of the constitution, a social institution, a system in which those who are driven to succeed are not rewarded, and a weakened global position by erosion of our borders, lanuage and culture.

In my mind, if a contractor provides me (as an inspector) with a welder to do some welding, the contractor or welder is required to provide the certificate of welding competency. So shouldn't the president just as much as the welder be responsible to PROVE TO ME he is an eligible participant in the activity for which he presents himself. It seems to me code is an adopted law of the state. The welder is legally bound to provide certification if he wants his work to be recognized by the building official. Isn't our president subject to the same law in the constitution. I believe it is not only his responsibility, but also his obligation as an American to stand up for the law of our land.

The problem is, he DID provide a birth certificate, and the "powers that be" said it was legal and legit.

Now, there are many who choose to claim it was a fraud.  The real problem is simple - they just don't want him in office.

So, McCain was not born on American soil.  Are you going to have a problem with that too?

Get a life!  The Honorable Sen. McCain was a Navy brat born to American parents abroad.

As far as barack, Fox News, specifically Mr. O'reilly, has researched his birth and is satisfied as to his being born in Hawaii.

JL,

You are correct. This country, and others, have a credit rating and ours is going into the toilet.

Yes hes was!
In fact, Senator McCain was born at Walter Gorgas Army Hospital in Panama city, Panama which is the same hospital my older brother was born also! ;)
The Senator never had a problem with being born on US territory that just happened to be surrounded by a foreign land, yet my brother had to go through all sorts of MALE BOVINE EXCREMENT just to get his passport because of the fact that to some dumb-ass bureaucrat assumed that if someone was born in a foreign land like Panama, then he is foreign born - PERIOD!!!

To this frigging airhead, it didn't matter that my father was already a US Citizen since 1946, or the fact that my Mother was one too, and my father being stationed in Panama city as a Tech Sargent/Engineering Specialist for the United States Army Corps of Engineers working on the section of the Pan-American Highway which was at that time, being built through the country of Panama...

This schmuck just rationalized in his "itty-bitty" pea-brain that if somebody is born in a foreign country regardless of the facts that were clear as Waterford crystal telling him that the person in question was actually born on Sovereign American soil with both parents being US citizens, and in a US Army Hospital no less!!!

I mean WTF do you want as proof BONEHEAD??? DNA samples??? I doubt very much this "lu-lu" could get by with understanding what one of those were anyway!!! ;)

So after a year of BS from these useless PUKES, my brother finally got his passport, and can now travel down to the Dominican Republic to ride a friggin different kind of "dumb-ass" at my family's plantation, and I think the bureaucrat is related to the "dumb-ass" we have down at the plantation!!! :) :) :) ROTFLMFAOAAA!!! :) :) :)

Respectfully,
Henry

What do you you expect from me Larry? I was in the Navy, and we don't have no friggin sergeants there!!! :) :) :)  My dad and I had many, how shall we say - intense conversations regarding the distinct differences between the US Army and the US Navy and since he's passed, nobody's been around to remind me of their differences. ;) not only that, my "speel chcker mississippied" the word by indicating with squiggly lines that "sergeant" was being "speeled" improperly - go figure huh??? ;) ;) ;)

So, did you figure out how to spell Fronius yet as opposed to "Feronius"??? Even though the "squiggly" lines still appear underneath when spelled properly???
Finally, there's one thing that you should always be able to spell properly being a sailor, and that's propulsion - not propultion!!!
Get a spell checker already and another one to check it again like I'm gonna do from now on :) :) :) ROTFLMFAOAAA!!! :) :) :)

Respectfully,
Henry

Thanks Henry,

I could not remember exactly where Mr. McCain was actually born. I was sure that, being Navy, the birth would have been on American territory.

If that stupid old f**k couldn't remember how many houses he has, he probably don't remember where he was born either.

It's PAST time to amend the Constitution again to fix one of the many problems.  Here we go:
   --TERM LIMITS FOR CONGRESS
--UPPER AGE LIMIT FOR ALL 3 BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT

Here’s the rub. We were screwed before the healthcare bill ever came up. It will only serve as another nail in the American coffin.
At 12.5 trillion and counting, our debt is unsustainable. Anyone with 6th grade math skills can figure that one out.
As of the 12.5 trillion, it was in excess of 39K worth of public debt for every man woman and child in the country. (320 million of them)
When you take into account only 106 million of those are taxpaying (and that's being very generous) and not on some form of subsidy,
that comes to just under 118 thousand dollars for every tax payer.

From where I am sitting, we have reached a point of no return. There is only one way this can go, and that is to de-value the dollar and effectively go bankrupt.
Pay real close attention to the details of this "healthcare bill" and consider how well it would fit into a socialist government.
If you think your paying a lot for food and gas now, wait for that to happen.

Stop worrying about Obama’s birth cert or the health care bill and start worrying about how you’re going to feed your family when a loaf of bread is 10 bucks and a gallon of gas is 12 bucks.

Healthcare bill or not, that's on the horizon.
