I live in Texas and have been welding pipeline for over 20 years.  I was layed off in September and am having a hell of a time finding any work in Texas.  Just about decided to head to Louisiana and see what's happening over there.  Anybody got any leads for pipeline work?  Sure would appreciate it!

What about that line snaking through Ft Worth? Don't know anyone working on it or if it's 798. All the trucks say TROY out of Houston. It is snaking it's way through N Fort Worth to Arlington I think. There is also some activity west of Bus 287 in Kennedale. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies.  Yea, it sure has been tough and getting tougher.  That unemployment doesn't get all the bills paid and kids fed!!!!  Think I'll have to pass on the oil cleanup, but will check out the line in Ft. Worth.
