Thanks Lawrence for the great pics. Where I live now there isn't a smallie for thousands of miles but, where I lived before that was all we'd catch. Best fight from a fish that size that a 20 lb pike could never match.

I agree about the fighting prowess of the smallmouth. They also do those crazy tail dances to try to throw out the hook.

My wife caught a 16 incher in the north woods this summer that dragged the canoe up and down the river.

I was thinkin about putting a hook in one and letting it drag a bobber around. Pesky little guys were hitting lures as big as they are.

Lawrence, great catch. For the last 5 yrs I have been working on my own bass pond in my back yard. This yr is finally the first year of no longer catch and release. Keeping and eating is now the order of buisiness.Grand daughter has a great time.There is no better way to hook a kid on fishing than to take them bass fishing!
