Short answer is: Yes.
Longer answer is: If your contract requires it, then it should be done. But you could ask your customer for a waiver.
Likely you are running into some individuals who may never paid much attention to that before. But now they have more time on their hands, and there is more competition for their jobs.
However, since you have 30 years experience anyway, you might find it easier to just do it and get it over with. Little thngs like that demonstrate that your company is commited to doing the job right, even on the little things.
