Just purchased 7 used Syncrowaves, need to facilitate them into our facility. We will be welding light gauge stainless and I really would like to stay away from the 480 setup. Can these run on 220?

They can be wired for 230V, but if You have higher voltage available, use it. The amperage will be lower, and the wire to each machine smaller and cheaper.

Look at the chart in section 3-6

If you have 480 service in your facility, why would you not want to use that voltage?

Unfortunaltey we do not have 480. But we are entertaining it. Very large expence approx 35K, from the first quote I recived.

Just looking for the most cost effective way to set these up. We will only be welding light gauge stainless, so I never see us welding over 70-100 amps.

Yes, but wide open they can pull close to 125amps unless they have the power factor correction option installed... around 100amps. -Lou
