Had good / bad luck? Problems with emissions?

I have an '08 6.7, and have had really good luck with it. A lot of idle time on it, and it still runs fine.  66,000 miles, been kicking around the idea of 5" exhaust with a programer.  Supposed to add more power and better fuel mileage.  It will delete the DPF as well.

Love both of mine auto and standard. Have two buddies with them as well both of them have over 60k on them no problems. One of them does have a DPF delete and the H&S programer for better mileage. If you use the exhaust brake and keep the DPF cleaned out there great.

I got a 08 6.7 and I love it. I have a 4 inche from turbo back with the superchip racing. Pulling my 30 foot camper gets me 13.5 and without it I get 19.5 with welding bed. And plus I love the black smoke o can make it pour out.

I have only had mine for a couple months now but I am very happy with it so far. Only draw back I can see is the side mirrors, I dont like them at all. I have just over 4k on it now and I'm getting 17.8 avg highway unloaded and averaged 11.3 with my 36' 5th wheel loaded from Tucson to Alpine and back, several long 7% grades on that trip. My Ford never did any better than 10mpg(usually 6-8) loaded and 16mpg empty even after 130K so I am sold on Dodge. After 100K I'm going to do the DPF, EGR delete and programer. A friend of mine has 160K on his and is getting 22+ mpg empty and 15+ loaded with a very similar trailer as mine. He has removed the emissions BS and installed a programer.

That's a pretty good pull.... I assume you go through Salt river canyon..  I pulled a tool trailer loaded down on that road.. That exhaust break was awesome going down that Canyon..

I should have mentioned that RC. The exhaust brake is awesome! Tow Haul with the exhaust brake and hardly ever touch the brake pedel. I use the exhaust brake all the time empty or loaded. I took Salt River on the way up and came back through Mule Creek in NM very pretty drive.

Soon as you can you'll want to lighten up your truck, both on top and underneath.
I did all the deletes, 5 inch stainless steel exhaust, H&S programmer. I' am really impressed with the power, and a little scared of the 120 HP tune.

Did the same thing on mine as Iron head. Had a few problems before I did all the work with emission stuff clogging. Spent the 2500 for an S&B intake an H&S programer and a five inch turbo back stainless. Cost me 2500 right there in Tulsa. I thought about the warranty issue but I've never had a major issue with the cummins motor so did my DPF and all at 50k and I have 102k on my 08. Figure roughly it will pay for itself in 100k not to mention makes less work for your engine which hopefully will add engine life. December with all the equip on the back driving from Huston to Ponca city at 75 I was getting 19.5mpg. I usually average 15 to 17.

Yep......The 6.7 is a killer engine (once you take the emissions crap off)
Look into H&S Performance.com and do some research on cumminsforum.com
Love my Cummins:cool:
