Hope you guys are all OK after all of that havoc that rumbled through lastnight. Us Virginians didn't have it nearly as bad as you guys South of us.

OK here in Florida.  I think we are due in Jacksonville after 35 or 40 years with no major tornado or hurricane damages.

Close call for me in Greene County, TN.
We hit the basement twice last night during passing furious storms but didn't have any damage.
Some of my neighbors didn't fare too well...

He posted today on his Tig Machine thread... You and your Family OK Shawn?

Horrible destruction! My heart goes out to all those who were hit by it. Arizona is hot and full of things that can kill you but thank God there are no Tornados!

Or Tsunamis.  Or major earthquakes.  Just Paradise here, right Wade??  LOL!!

But our prayers are definitely with anyone from this forum and all others in the south.  These last few days have been pretty major devastation beyond belief.

Have a Great Day,  Brent

Yeah made it alright. Was in shop Wednesday and rain came down like you would not believe. Then in about 2 seconds the rain went completely sideways! Watched two trees by my barn and wondered how they were still standing and then started to here them cracking.  Have two other trees in the field, probably 3' diameter that look like the leaning tower in Italy. A buddy near Cullman, Alabama said his power is out and people coming up this way to buy gas. Supply house in Columbia said gas stations were running out of gas. It's an awful mess that's for sure.

I was talking with Tommy a bunch and he'd tell me what it was doing out his way and later that night we were getting hit.

By the way, how you doing out there Tommy? Thought about giving you a call but also figured your probably pretty busy. Don't know if I can do much but if you need a hand give me a shout. I'm sure there is some way to write off a trip out!

Appreciate that brother!!  I am sure we could come up with something to make a biz trip out of it!!  I just do not know how we could write off all the stuff at the grocery we would buy so I could talk you into doing a bit of cooking!!   I think we will be ok.  Amazing how many people want to help move wood and limbs and such when the power is down.  My neighbors are bored to tears so I had a lot of volunteers LOL!  Still got cleanup to do but I am more worried with finding a house and a good contractor.  Heck Shawn I really just need to be out working....my insurance is great but I still got to make money....being dead in the water the last week is not helping. I heard we got power back last nite so I will try to get what steel I have in the shop fabbed up this weekend for a couple of small jobs.  I just dread moving crap out of the house into storage...they will pay to have it done but I would rather take care of my stuff myself.   It is kinda funny but I will be subcontracting three jobs on my own house.   But yer right I have been busy...just not on anything that makes cash.   Call me anytime you feel like it ....I can always take time out to talk to a friend.

BTW; Hope you are enjoying that new tig rig.   I got begged into a boat job just today.  It will pay for it self quick I can tell ya.

We had a really bad day on Sat 16th here in NC. I drive through areas that were destroyed everyday and the aftermath is amazing...not in a good way. Two of my adult daughters barely escaped the Sanford Lowes Home Improvement  store destruction but no one was hurt. The tornadoes here that day did not exceed F3. The ones that hit the last couple of days in the south were F5. Hard to imagine a F5 after seeing the damage the F3 caused. The death total was 15 times higher with the F5. Thoughts and prayers are with those that have and are suffering through these difficult times.

Natural disasters are going crazy right now. Tornadoes for the Midwest, flooding, and earthquakes. We have had over 200,000 acres of land burn in the county I live in. Close to 2.5 million in the state so far. We just set and watch helicopters and airplanes fly in and out all day.
Hope everybody is safe.

We are fine and really blessed nobody got a scratch but it could have been very bad

Town has been without power for 4 days.  I have my family living out of a hotel.  Thank God everyone is ok because it was basically a pretty scary night to say the least Monday.  I really feel for some people in Vilonia AR and especially Alabama.  I am way over insured so everything should turn out fine.  You can't really tell in those pics but my house is pretty trashed.  We will be living somewhere else while it is being fixed up.  Got my fingers crossed my gut is leading me with the right contractor.   Probably will pick up some work out of all this with the people I have talked to in the last few days.

Two days ago you could not buy a tarp or a chainsaw round here to save your life.  Nobody round here will be short on firewood next winter!

We are trying to just get back to normal, taking my two boys back to school tomorrow and I am going out to do some work.

Till I get back in a real house yall probably won't see me too much on here.

Hope everyone else is safe and sound.  Lay some prayer down because there are a lot of folks out there off in a very bad way right now.

Tommy

Wade and my side jesting about AZ aside,  I hope all of you in the destruction area know our prayers are definitely with you.

We are coming into our fire season and understand that one.

I was born in IA and have been in some of your areas during tornado season and understand that one as well.  I know they are not fun.

Glad to hear the good reports thus far though we know there are many that will not turn out that good.

You guys take care and God Bless.

Have a Great Day,  Brent

I agree with you Brent. My prayers go out to everyone in those areas! I did not mean to sound callous or uncaring it was just a bad day at work. Please accept my apology if I offended anyone.
Wade
