AWS A2.4 5.17 Weld Dimension Tolerance.
When a tolerance is applicable to a weld symbol dimension, it may be shown in the tail of the welding symbol or specified by a drawing note, a table, code, or specification. In all cases, a reference must be made to the dimension to which the tolerance applies. It also shows a pic of a fillet weld welding symbol that is showing a fillet weld on the other side with a pitch of 2-6 and in the tail it says " segment length tolerance +/- 1/4 "
D1.1 2.4.2.4 Says the minimum length of the segments of an intermittant fillet weld shall be 1.5".
I think the whole idea is if 1.5" is called out in the weld symbol, it must be
at least 1.5" or whatever is called out...."speaking of effective length segemnts that are full section"
