My new CWI stamp shows the expiration date of my certification.  When I qualify a welder, will he still be qualified after my stamp expires?  If he qualifies in July and my stamp expires in August, will his qualification papers still be good after August?  I sure that some contractors will question it.  I do plan on recertifying and getting a new stamp, but what about all the old paperwork with an expired stamp on it?  Just asking.

Not really enough information.
But
You don't have to stamp the welder qualificarion.

Their qualification is good for 6 months whether you are around/certified or not.

Good Luck

WELDTECH,
The expiration date on your stamp will not affect the welder qualification test record. As long as they keep and show continuity (no period greater than 6 months inactivity) it is good.

As mentioned, the WQTR is not required by code to be stamped. Some companies may take it upon themselves to require it, as may some customers, but code does not.
