If an individual has  his CWI  certificate does that qualify him to inspect under water per
AWS D3.6 or does he need a special endorsement of some kind. Are their any other agencys other than
AWS that have underwater welding codes and specifications. Thanks Joe

Depends on the type of inspection the individual wants/needs to do.  For CVI (visual), no...for MPI yes, there are only a couple of different myglo that can be used, according to the USCG, for UT, no, just have to make sure that the splice to the transducer is waterproof.
