AWS.org   Look there for the AWS "Sections"  They meet something like monthly.  There are student chapters for most sections.. All the benefits with only a little cost..  The section meetings are a great place to talk to people in your area about training and career possibilities.. Prolly the local tech instructors and many union and non union welders will be there too.

One other suggestion, I responded to this same question in another section, you will find it not appreciated by the guys and really rather counter-productive to post the same question in multiple threads.  You need to keep all the information together in one spot.  It is easier for everyone to have continuity of thought and information.
