Hello everyone, a while back there was a thread that covered many of the different offerings for dry cut saws. At that time we had one on order, ended up with the Evolution Rage.
It isn't always the best choice to set something like this up for open access in a college weld shop so we decided that we needed to have it on a mobile platform to ensure control on when it gets used and by whom.
Came up with this simple design to facilitate moving it around: extend the handle, screw in the lock bolt and tilt it over like a hand truck, roll it around and into position. Once you have it located, remove the lock bolt, allow the handle to retract, re-install the lock bolt, power it up and get to cutting. I've included a few pictures to show how it all works. Best regards, Allan

Nice idea  Alan.  Simply done but very functional.

Now, how do you like the unit itself?  Is it working out as hoped/expected?

What types of materials are you cutting with it?

Have a Great Day,  Brent

Hello Brent, I have only made about a half dozen cuts so far, we're looking to cut pipe(carbon and aluminum) and square tubing, possibly some flat bar. Mainly for project applications and for pipe cutting for the OAW people. The idea of burr free cuts is very appealing, as well, the mitering is really pretty accurate, that is if you use a protractor or other angle comparison device and don't rely on the protractor on the back stop of the saw itself. Best regards, Allan
