I am in the market for a Cross draw holster with CC in mind.  Your typical sporting goods or gun stores don't carry much of a selection if they have them at all.  There are a million custom leather makers out there.  Anybody on here use a cross draw and what one/brand would you recommend.  I am looking for a high carry so either a t shirt or welding shirt will cover well.  So far I am interested in these folks http://www.mernickleholsters.com/ps/ps10_2.html .  BTW it is for an auto...SR40.

I was going to order a rig from them, But gotta friend up in Cody, WY who is an leathersmith and quick draw re-enactor for the Summer evening street theater. Since he uses his guns and holsters for quick draw practice and showmanship thousands of times a year, I can trust his designs and craftsmanship.
Now if my local gun dealer would just get off his behind and get my 1875 S&W Schofield ordered...
Hoping to get some gun slingin' in this summer.

I use kydex holsters, they don't soak with sweat and they hold their shape; last a long time. I carry inside the waist band at 1:00. I could move it over to the other side for a cross draw but I find it is faster to clear the cover garment with my left hand and draw with the right. Nice pistol John! Why did you have to go and post that website?? Darn, they sell my dream rifle on there. Started drooling all over myself when I found the "Down Under" Sharpes 45-70. Need to get some fertilizer today to try and bring that money tree back to health! Nice looking Schofield, heck everything I saw on that website looked nice!

Yes, If I can just get that nickel plated Schoffield, a proper fitting leather holster, and have Esmerelda carve me up some custom grips, I'll be a happy camper and will never buy or need any more pistolas....

Good timing on reading this one too.  I just bought a really nice RWS spring air pistol (model 10M).  It's got a beautiful walnut grip, but the stupid thing is left handed (the price was still too good to let it pass).  I was going to tear up a hunk of walnut I've had sitting around for darned near forever to make a grip that fits my RIGHT hand, but after seeing that, I'm really thinking of going with cocobolo.  I've worked with that stuff before.  It's about as hard as aluminum, but the results are well worthwhile.
