Realize AWS has prequalified procedures available, but require one for Monel 400 plate and pipe. Client realizes an expenditure is required. Reason for request: Project begins in one week, and nothing in place. Welders need to be qualified.
There is no prequalified procedures for nickel based alloys. There is no AWS structural code for nickel based alloys. Therefore, you cannot even qualify a procedure or a welder per an AWS structrual code. It would need to be contractually agreed to and approved by the EOR.
