Parent - - By up-ten (***) Date 07-22-2012 23:25
Well at 5'7", I was hoping you'd share the secret.  As the smaller guy in the yard, I am always fingered for welding in the tight spots. lol.
Parent - - By Rafter_G_Weldin (***) Date 07-23-2012 01:19
The secret is 1 cup rolled oats,1 cup rolled corn,1tea spoon brown sugar and 1 cup whole milk every morning and you'll grow
Parent - - By up-ten (***) Date 07-23-2012 01:21

Parent - - By Cactusthewelder (*****) Date 07-23-2012 02:22
Shad, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, BUT, your sharing has only just begun ! My Son is 27 and my Daughter is 25. They are STILL in my Pocket !
Parent - By Rafter_G_Weldin (***) Date 07-23-2012 17:41

Parent - - By Tommyjoking (****) Date 07-24-2012 03:04
It only stunts it vertically...not horizontally.  I am living proof!!

Got me a grandbaby to spoil the hell out of now Shad.  My daughter is gonna hate my guts before I am done with her:evil:.

Parent - By rcwelding (***) Date 07-24-2012 13:17 Edited 08-04-2012 17:38
The only bad thing about Coffee is when you drink enough to wake you up, you better have a port-a-john within waddling distance.  There are times when Coffee can give you a moving experiance.  LOL...!   I stay away from the stuff.
Parent - By ibeweldingsum (***) Date 08-04-2012 02:59

That's funny! She's saying more Dad, more!!!

My kids were eating bisquits the other morning with honey. My daughter read the label and said, "your not supposed to give honey to kids under 1?". I laughed, told her honey was the magic ingredient to make babies stop crying! A little dab of honey on a finger and plop it in their mouth, eyes get as big as saucers and crying stops.
Parent - - By Rafter_G_Weldin (***) Date 08-04-2012 13:55
Lol it takes a bottle for Emma. Guess I need to get a lil stinger and some toddler welding caps. Won't be long and she'll be walking
Parent - - By Cumminsguy71 (*****) Date 08-04-2012 14:18
"Won't be long and she'll be walking"

You got that right! Seems like I was sleeping on the couch with my youngest on my chest just yesterday and here she is, a sophmore!!! Kids will put a gauge on time for you. A few years from now she'll be yapping away with questions and you'll wonder, where has the time gone!
Parent - - By Rafter_G_Weldin (***) Date 08-05-2012 06:33
Right now i just wished she'd sleep been up and down all night
Parent - - By jwright650 (*****) Date 08-05-2012 10:50
When mine were little.....and trying to fight going to sleep, a short ride in the car usually did the trick.

My brother-in-law used to sit one of his in a car carrrier on top of the washing machine, and as long as that machine was running that chap slept, but when it stops the kid was all rested up and ready to go for another few hours.

"Yapping away with questions"....I had a good 12 yr pause before I had a 3 yr old in the house....JEEZ I got to be a freaking physicist again.  Savannah is an extremely curious girl...it is HARD work not to blow her off and truly give her an answer.  Being a parent is the hardest dang thing I have ever done but I love it.  I reckon I will have to do the same playing grandpa with Dakota when she stretches her britches a bit.  I think being a good Mom/DAD/Grandparent is pretty much our most important job to do.
Parent - - By CWI555 (*****) Date 08-08-2012 11:44
"Being a parent is the hardest dang thing I have ever done but I love it"

Ain't that the truth. I was teaching my boy how to shoot a bow and arrow starting with the little sucker cup tipped bows and a childs bow I made for him.
I went to work the next day and my wife thought she'd try to help out with the bow lessons. While she was recovering the arrows from the board, he thought it would be funny to shoot mamma in the rear parts with it.

It should have been a "never shoot at anyone or anything you don't intend harm to"...But when my wife told me this story upon getting home from work, I busted out laughing.
We were both in trouble then... If mamma ain't happy nobody is.

She laughs about it now, and I laugh everytime I remember that semi worried/amused look on his face when his mamma was relaying what happened. I keep seeing her with a sucker arrow stuck to her butt.

Raising a child is 'the' hardest thing I've ever done/doing, but I would not a trade a second of it for anything.

Funny story Gerald...thanks for sharing.
Parent - - By DaveBoyer (*****) Date 08-05-2012 06:47
Smear Her hands with honey and stick a piece of paper on one. Better to try this OUTSIDE.

My shooting mentor said they used to do this to His little brother - over a hundred years ago when there was less to ocupy people.
Parent - By Rafter_G_Weldin (***) Date 08-06-2012 04:35
