Looks like Chevron will need some work done out in California.

Did you say looks like gas prices are gonna go up again???
Parent - - By OBEWAN (***) Date 08-10-2012 18:03
They have already gone up.  Two refineries are down if I am not mistaken.  Gas is past $4 in some parts of the US.

Shoot Obewan,  You are out of touch.

Just got back from our 35th anniversary vacation up at Lake Tahoe.  One station we passed was at $5.19.  Stay away from small mountain communities in CA.  (Notice I said "passed")

I was sure glad we had the new CRV instead of the GMC Yukon we used to drive.  Got about twice the fuel mileage.  And that was with 4 of us in the rig and luggage.  (Took two of our sons because our anniversary vacation was also a family reunion.  Had a great time BTW even if we did have to spend it in a foreign country...LOL)

Have a Great Day,  Brent

Yes, I forgot about California.  My sister lives in San Diego and they are always a dollar or so more than here in Florida.  I think we are still under $4 here but I have not checked in several days.

CA has to put all those extra expensive chemicals in their gas to "prevent" pollution.

Gas has gone up 50 cents/gallon here in the past two weeks.
Parent - - By 46.00 (****) Date 08-10-2012 19:56
Gas is around $9 a gallon over here in the UK so consider yourselves lucky
Parent - By welderbrent (*****) Date 08-10-2012 20:03
On one hand we do 46.00.  But then it is ridiculous for any nation's populace to be spending that kind of money on fuel.

Have a Great Day,  Brent

Over 1/2 of what You pay is tax. Many of Us here in the US hope the US does not become a socialistic nation, but the other half are pushing it in that direction.

in the 5 days since the fire diesel here in CA has gone up $0.53 a gallon!
Parent - - By Stringer (***) Date 08-11-2012 14:14
Yes, prices will rise, but my original thought was regarding job opportunity.
Parent - By 46.00 (****) Date 08-11-2012 18:51
Yes, I dare say that they will need people to help fix what's broke!

"in the 5 days since the fire diesel here in CA has gone up $0.53 a gallon!"

And isn't that a bit suspicious, since it takes 60 days to get feedstock through the process! Good old speculation and greed at work.

Northweldor,

I wonder how many folks in here know which country exports the most oil to the US... In other words, out of all the oil imported to the US, which country has the largest percentage of it.

I know you already know but ,let's find out who might know in here okay?

Respectfully,
Henry

Don't forget about mexico
Parent - By OBEWAN (***) Date 08-15-2012 01:55
Yes, don't forget Mexico.  I think they are the number 4? supplier to the US.  And that supply is supposed to be gone bone dry bare in about 5 or 6 years.  But who knows what is offshore near Mexico.  All we can do is hope for the best and drive gas misers!

You be correct there Stringer!

Henry

85% of Oil in Nigeria comes to the U.S.. I know they are not THE largest. However, the U.S. CLEARLY keeps Nigeria floating.
