The PQR is your record of all the actual variables from the test coupon.
Amps, volts, travel speed, material type, consumable type ,plate thickness, fillet size etc, etc, etc.
The record of test results (3 x macros) probably makes up about 5% of your PQR.
So Yes, if the joint is not pre-qualified you need a PQR,
