I took my time making each facet as accurate as I could, but the fit up wasn't too bad.  I just did it in two halves, and only had to bust the tacks on two faces to reposition.  About three hours, the next one will probably take two.

now the challenge will be laying it out so you can bend more sides and weld less.

You could lay it out like two soccer ball halves on auto cad...shoot out a template then wrestle with whatever you got to make those bends....you could not go far without a floating set of dies.  Hell just cutting out those pieces and fitting it up by hand was a helluva endeavor!
