I was at a welding supply in Houston yesterday and the sales rep was telling me about this machine.. I have never heard of this thing or a welder that will do all this..

Have any of you guys seen or used one of these.. I would get one but it doesn't have AC Tig for aluminum.. I want to get a little High Frac unit so I can Tig aluminum.

Hello RC, we have 4 of the 181i's, slightly smaller than the one that you linked on here. They are great machines, in my opinion, but as you said they don't do AC for aluminum purposes. If you want a smaller machine with that capability the Miller Dynasty 200 is really the machine or one of the Thermal Arc inverters in the same class, I believe these are the Arcmaster 186's. They are pricey though. Good luck and best regards, Allan

I a used the heck out of my Dynasty 200 for 10 years. Finally lost a transformer in one of the boards a couple months back. Took the bord into the local community College and they were able to replace the broken part for just a few bucks. It is back up and working again. The dynasty machines are top notch. I have the dynasty 350 now as well and it is a super machine. They do cost some coin but you get a top quality machine.

I ran a Dynasty 200 at a little Miller show.. I loved it and have been trying to find an excuse to buy one for a couple of years but I just cant justify it just yet... Dang it..!!! LOL

I loved how focused the arc was on aluminum.. I had never Tig welded Aluminum with a sharp point on the Tungsten like you can with that machine..

Has anyone run the Lincoln machine comparable to the Dynasty 200.. I think its a Lincoln 205 AC\DC.  They look nice but I have never seen or tried one.

Invertec V205-T AC / DC ?  I've been looking at them too but haven't found one to try out or talked to anyone has one either.  They are about same price as Dynasty 200 $3800 range + o r - .  Lincoln site has list prices.  The dealers here haven't sold any.  They make one same number but just DC too so be careful looking at used ones.   I found a old ad online wished had seen earlier a guy sold one with 20 hours on it for $2000.

Used one for about a week and would not buy one for myself. Just my opinion but Lincoln has a ways to go before they can keep up with the Dynasty.

Vern Lewis welding supply in Phx has Used Dynasty machines for sale all the time. I have also seen Tech Schools sell used machines and there is always Craigslist.

I know a guy that has three of them.....he is sold...loves em.   High freq? Was not aware they can reproduce an alternating current....if so that makes them much more interesting at the price point.
