It may be a dumb question but appreciate clear definition.
DCEN-Direct Current Electrode Negative ( the work piece/lead connected to positive terminal ) DCEP-Direct Current Electrode Positive ( the work piece/lead connected to negative terminal ) DCSP-Direct Current Straight Polarity ( the work piece/lead connected to positive terminal ) DCRP-Direct Current Reverse Polarity ( the work piece/lead connected to negative terminal )
So, Is DC-VE = DCEN = DCSP same ? & Is DC+VE = DCEP = DCRP same ?
DCEN-Direct Current Electrode Negative (positive ground) same as DCSP-Direct Current Straight Polarity (example TIG or GTAW) DCEP-Direct Current Electrode Positive (negative ground) same as DCRP-Direct Current Reverse Polarity (example stick or SMAW)
I'm still curious about the initials "VE"?? Could someone please clarify this for me.
Brown and Root may not have the stellar reputation of say Bechtel or Black and Veatch, but they fed my family for a couple of years and sent me to college for a few credits. I believe in the late 60s early 70', they were the world's largest construction company. Very click-ish good 'ol boys and you were either in or out with them. Had to be minimum 3rd generation Texan or related to someone with a gold hat. Some how I made it to the out list... I think qcrobert and I were on the same project with them.
