Can any one share more light in how to use these two figures more effectively. When we are reviewing film from our 3rd party RT provider we often disagree about acceptable or rejectable indications because we both interpret these figures differently.
The values between given dimensions (weld size, discontinuity size and clearance) are unclear.
For example: If we have a splice weld 5/8", we have to project a line from A to B between 1/2" and 1/4" (where exactly, half way?). The maximum discontinuity size is equal or over 3/16", or is actually  1/8" because welds between 1/2" to 3/4" are projected to B between 1/8" to 3/16" max. discontinuities. Then when we measure a discontinuity for the same weld that is 5/32" long and 1-1/4" from the edge is acceptable or rejectable?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

The only thing that I need to help you is the base metal thickness and what kind of stress is apply to Weld (Tension or Compression).

I expect for the information
