Guess who's back.  It's been quite a while.  I wasn't sure if I could even log in still.  Sooo...what have I missed?  It's been probably 3 years or so.  I'll have to get reacquanted with some of you and play nice with others.

Are you still working as a CWI, or is my memory failing?

Nope.   Back to welding.  I did that short gig in Florida Jun-Oct 2009 then came back to Kansas City to handle some personal business.  Been back welding ever since.  I'm considering trying out CWIing again.  My cert expired in March 2012 but I'm sure I could pass it again. Still not much work here.

I visited Wabtech Rail Systems there last March to talk about a tech writing contract, with some weld process work too.

It was more work than I could handle working remote from Jacksonville, so I told them to consider looking for a local CWI to support their weld process needs.  Mostly MIG to the rail braking systems code.

Oh yeah.  Horrible winter.  My normal 30 minute drive home from work to damn near 4 hours.  Got to work at 6:00 it was bone dry.  By 9:00 we had a foot of snow.

I was just wondering the other day if you were going to come back.
Went to Texas if I remember correctly.
I spent last winter down by the Alameda Mall (south I-45).

Florida for a few months in '09.  Back in KC welding for a company that was just bought by Nazis.  Really need to get out of there.
