I Actually have two questions the first is if I have welders that are qualified for 6g test using 6061-t6 base metal and 5356 filler do I need to write a diffrent wps if we need to use 5556 the two filleres are in the same group number which is F22 the base metal is staying the same. The second question is I am also trying to qualify welder 6g test with 6061-t6 base metal and 4043 filler according to D1.2 3.8.1.7 spaecial bending conditions for base metals M23,M24,M27 and filler metals F23. Just wanting to know if anybody had tips an testing these materials M23 base and F23 filler.

It would seem to me that because the "base metal" and the "Filler metal" are considered "essentials" in the WPS. And you changed an "essential" in your WPS you would have to qualify for the new essential. In this case you changed the "filler" material.
